Nota biográfica:
Tomoko Yaginuma is a lecturer in Department of Asian Studies, Institute of Letters and Human Sciences, University of Minho, Portugal. She obtained Bachelor of Literature in Sociology at Chiba University, Japan in 1994, MA in Film Studies, at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK in 2000 and MSc in Computer Science, at University of Bath, UK in 2001. Currently she is a PhD student in Cultural Studies at Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho. A theme of her doctoral project is "Social representations of Japan and Japanese culture in Portugal". Her major scientific areas are Cultural Studies, Sociology and Japanese Studies (language and culture).
